INTRODUCTION
This yacht was originally customized when built with many options not frequently seen in a stock 42, including five large air vents on varnished dorade boxes, hardware for inner forestay and running back stays on the main mast, and many custom interior modifications including an additional opening port in the quarter berth. If the new owner preferred to sail her as a sloop, the mizzen mast can be left un-stepped, and the radar antennae moved to the main mast.

HULL AND DECK

  Topsides: Awlgrip Malaga Green - 2004 (touched up every spring.)

  Boottop: Double White;

  Cove Stripe: Gold Leaf - 2004 (touched up as needed)

  Deck: Hull 6” deck flange receives the deck that is then fiberglassed and bolted in place.

  Keel/Centerboard underbody: Centerboard is fiberglass with a bronze leading edge – operated by pennant on a winch in cockpit. (pennant replaced 2001).

COMMENTS
This SW-42 yawl is seriously for sale. The owners have loved this vessel and it shows. Only seasonally used in the northeast since her launch, she has had three highly-experienced detail-oriented sailor owners who have always had her maintained and wintered at the same harbor with the same service representative. She is well-known and admired in cruising harbors from Maine through Nova Scotia, and a fine example of beautiful craftsmanship which is truly a delight to sail.

Standing in the main cabin, one is able to easily look outside, similar to a raised salon vessel, unlike many yachts which make you feel like you are in the basement. The addition of the self-pitching (and feathering) Autoprop allows superb motoring, motor sailing, and punching into a head sea at hull speeds while saving on fuel. Her execution of improvements to electronics, and customization of accessories are to the highest possible Hinckley standards. Owner has full-sized actual construction drawings which will convey with vessel.
